ARTINI @ Bali Mystique

Situated in Bali Mystique apartment in the heart of Petitenget, the restaurant Artini delivers high quality International, Indonesian, and Asian cuisine to both guests and visitors alike.  Open from 8 am Artini serve all day breakfasts with fresh juices, great Italian coffee and tempting local menu for lunch guests.  The evening menu is an enciting Asian/australian fusion with complimentary tapas.  Try the Double Roasted Duck with mango juice in creamy mashed potatoes and oven roasted vegetables or the signature dish The Mystique whole Breast of Chicken filled with sun-dried tomato and herbs wrapped in bacon and oven-roasted, and served in a creamy herb sauce with steamed vegetables.

The Slow Roasted Lamb Shanks remain the most popular item on the dinner menu or meat lovers can opt for imported Char Grilled Sirloin Steak with garlic mashed potatoes and an oven-roasted onion and red juice.   For dessert the Orange Cheesecake and Caramelized Apple Tart are firm favorites.  The relaxed and very casual atmosphere at Artini is conductive to a very chilled evening out in Seminyak.  The martinis are great and include many new combinations including nutty and cranberry varieties.  Refreshingly the wine list is at all overpriced considering the location of the restaurant in an area synonymous with top dollar dinning. 

MAGURO @ Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa

The flavor of asia play beautifully to a tropical audience and MAnguro Nistro feature a range of recipes soured from across Asia.  Manguro offer both favorites and innovations of their own from new Executive Chef, Australian Darren Lauder,who has recently arrived at Manguro from Japan. The menu here features dishes as diverse as the Indian infulenced Lamb Pastries to Chinese favorites like Crispy Prawn Dim Sum to flavor some tropical Asian-style salads and Japanese specialties.


An extensive sushi and shasimi menu takes dinners through the classics and add a few twist of its own, like the Nusa Dua Roll, a flight and luscious roll filled with lobster and mango, or the Tropical Roll with prawn, green papaya and thai dressing.  Mains can be light or filling, from Grilled Lobster to the popular Barbecue Beef Ribs, Seafood Curry, Twice-Cooked Duck or a variety of Yakitori Sticks.  Desserts also get The Manguro treatment - light, bright and classically presented. Recently renovated in red and black with an open kitchen and a breezy terrace, Manguro invites guests to enjoy their tropical ambience biside the pool for lunch or dinner.

KAYU PUTI @ St. Regis Bali

Nestled on the beach, the flagship restaurant of the St.Regis Bali Resort, Kayuputi (literally translated into "white wood") is true to its name.  The interior is a light, bright, breezy and extremely classy affair with quality Modern Asian cuisine to match.  The ocean facing restaurant features a stunning commitment to high end dining with meticulous considerations being given to the lunch and dinner menus resident Executive Chef Oscar Perez and his team culinary wunderkinds. The mezzanine floors hosts private tables affording dinner an elevated view of the ocean whilst the main air conditioned dinning room seats around ninety patrons leading out to private number of open air tables. 


The champagne bar at Kayuputi hosts a stunning number of choices from revered procedures such as Taittinger, Moet, & chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Krug and Dom Perrignon. The chilled and Grilled Seafood selections are signature dishes of the house, a selection of premium imported chilled sashimi, Tasmanian salmon and Washington oysters amongst others followed by the grilled choices of half Bali lobster, king prawn, tempura with coconut milk and an exquisite Miso Marrinated Butter Fish wrapped in a fragrant hoba leaf. The overriding sense of a communal exploration of taste and sharing new culinary experiences is at the heart of the concept behind kayu putih.

THE ITALIAN @ AMANUSA

As with all things Aman in this world it is the allure of luxury that tempts, both in the elegant poolside setting and, naturally, the food stuffs that find theor way onto the end of your knife and fork.


Dinner guests here can load their plates with slices of cured prosciutto, slivers of exquisite salami and a formidable array of fungi, not to mention the requisite tomato and feta salad, a large bowls of mixed olives and an exceptionally tasty doorstop chunk of frittata.


Order the Gamberroni Freshwater Prawns here or contend with a revolving specials board featuring such gourmet offering as a Wild Sumbawan Boar Bolognaise. As the menu rotates on an almost daily basis it's hard to predict what the chef will have in the store for his guests.  One thing you can be sure of is the inclusion of the classic Tiramisu on the dessert menu.  This faultless sweet with just the subtlest hint of Marsala ( anutty espresso flavoring through the biscuit) velvety mascarpone and a heavy coating of cream on the top layer, has given many visiting diners to Amanusa a new culinary addiction to placate.

GOURMAND DELI @ St. Reggis Bali

With an emphasis on exclusive residential living, the villas at The St Regis Bali Resort are well catered to by Gourmand Deli.  By far the most decadent delicatessen on the island, Gourmand Deli stocks an incredible selection of wines, coffee, teas chocolate handcrafted by the onsite chefs in the glass plated viewing kitchen.


For those possess a sweet tooth the Valhoma chocolate fountains with strawberry fondue at the entrance is reason enough to visit the deli and the quality of the gourmet product on the shelves are guaranteed to keep visitors returning for more.  The deli sandwich Menu hosts a mix and match choice cuts, freshly baked bread and Basket By The Sea for those packing picnic lunch.  Sixteen homemade ice creams and sorbets are available to enjoy in the air-conditioned deli interior or outside on the wooden terraced area.

FACES @ THE BALE NUSA DUA

A perennial star in the Nusa Dua Sky, Faces is one of the most relaxing restaurants on the island owing to the soft lit ambiance of the sunken tropical garden setting and the refreshingly uncomplicated cuisine from Chef Brandon Huisman.  The open kitchen setting of the restaurant, terrazzo stonewalled surroundings and gentle lap of the water features in the garden transports dinners to a new plateau of intimacy.


From the selection of appetizers the  Bacon Wrapped Quail, Frisee Lettuce, Cherry Tomato and Roast Garlic Cream comes highly recommended as does the Lightly Breaded Crab Cake, Honey Mustard Beurre  Blanc with apple and radish slaw.  The Duck Confit with summer vegetable ragout from the main course selection is a standout.  For sheer decadence the Butter-Poached Lobster with wild mushroom saute, creamy risotto and truffle essence should be investigated, preferably with a cold glass of chardonnay, whilst the Chocolate Fondant from the dessert menu is a rich reward indeed.  A complimentary pick up and drop off service is provided to outside guests staying in the Nusa Dua, Benoa and Jimbaran Bay areas, making dinner at Faces and drinks at fluid two very attractive reasons to head south to a new level of luxurious indulgence.

ATMOSPERE RESORT CAFE

Located beside the main building of Discovery Shopping Mall in Kartika Street Kuta, Atmosphere Resort Cafe is very easy to reach, since it is near Legian Street and only ten minutes from Ngurah Rai Airport.  Kuta Beach gives the cafe excellent tropical views and makes it a perfect place to relax while enjoying your lunch or dinner.

BONEKA @ ST REGIS BALI RESORT

The breakfast and brunch experience at Boneka completely rewrites the rules with arguably the most decadent early doors dishes being served on the island.  Believing that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, the chef at Boneka have done away with the traditional notion of a self service buffet and instead exclusively prepare each hot dish a la minute.  From freshly baked pastries to delicacies such as the Egg Nouvelle (lobster ragout, parsley cream and salmon etc) to the rustic. Foie Gras and Fried Eggs, Boneka simply surprise and delight the palate.


Sunday brunch at the St Regis Bali Resort commences in The King Cole Bar adjacent  to Boneka with a twist on the St Regis classic Bloody Mary - Bali Mary, a spicy concoction that embraces the very essence of the island.  A live Jazz Quartet accompanies guest across the foyer to Boneka where a traditional prime rib carvers awaits.  Dinner at Boneka is a Modern Asian affair.  The Gin Tomato flambe King Prawns is the house signature but be sure to leave enough appetite for the fine choice of premium meat and fish main courses and the truly Asian menu that encapsulates the spirit of adventurous dining across South East Asia.

BLISS @ THE BALE

where there's a ying there's a yang, and the ying t o the yang of flagship restaurant Faces at the Bale is Bliss at the spa, the dining option of choice for those conscious of their wellbeing.  Whilst chef Brandon pushes the envelope at Faces with big tastes and plates of style there is no compromise at Bliss, save the calorie count.


It's al fresco dining at the entrance to the spa with only four neighboring tables, which is especially
peaceful in the refined environment of the Bale.  Try the Daikon Roll with lightly poached tiger prawn and fresh papaya rolled in thiny sliced daikon radish served with mixed organic greens and spicy dipping sauce - an excellent entree.


The most popular man courses on the menu are the Poached Parrot Fish with the natural flavours, marinated and poached in freshly squeezed citrus and ginger, served with boiled potatoes tossed in spring onions, or the Marinated Grilled Marlin Steaks with the fresh organic cherry tomatoes and basil, the menu here pays homage to nourishing dished and drinks for the body and soul, paying particular attention to embracing the exotic healing herbs and fruits of the region.
